Tim Labenda about his fall/winter collection

06th March 2014 LOOKBOOK VOGUE Salon participants Tim Labenda are considered one of the most promising young German design talents. While he focused his career on men's fashion, he is now exclusively at women collections - VOGUE-Christiane Arp editor-in-Chief encouraged him to do so. Playing with contrasts and particularly feminine and masculine elements always finds himself in his fashion and hence in its new autumn/winter collection 2014/15, whose campaign exclusively premieres at VOGUE. What stands behind the collection, what ideas and inspirations, told Tim Labenda VOGUE

"The new autumn/winter collection in 2014/15 is based on two chapters from 'The neverending story' by Michael end. As a child, that was my favorite story, my mother she has must read a hundred times feels like me and then I read the story again. Fascinated me about her, that she is as timeless and that just this Prozesshaftige in the present is a big issue for me - we are finally all in recurring processes. That's why it's in my collection: repetitive processes and dependencies from each other. Organic meets architecture. I visualize all this in turn due to the many different materials. Me, it was especially important that the cycle between these elements is infinite and the combination of the individual parts different strong tensions. The formal language is petrified time growing, even invigorating. Because this approach for me works well I play also in the silhouette of the contrasts. I personally am a person who thinks much in black and white and also the collection is good for just this reason setting. Either / or. I find boring grey areas.

These two sides of the collection are visible also in the campaign. On the one hand you have the natural forest, which is pierced by a white background, which resembles frozen ice or rocks depending on the recording but. The organic should be compared with contrasting somewhat hard, clear. The images work through the interplay of both aspects. You are in a certain dependency on each other and could not be without the other. Mens shoes online Pakistan

The last season has given me much time to think Tim Labenda-wife about that to know them in detail. I feel the collection as a major development. We've added them to many femininere parts - also, so much to point out that we may come from the menswear, but the collection still is a serious women's collection. I wanted to play not only with menswear details, but also targeted work with feminine aspects. "But I stayed true to my roots: the tailoring will be visible always in my collections."
